New season!
Many people dislike winter. I can probably understand why. But for me, autumn and winter are the most inspiring and productive seasons. Recently I have spent a few days in France and managed to get out to take photos. I am in the middle of editing and will add several new works to gallery of latest works.

Terschelling
I have just returned from a short photo trip to Terschelling, one of islands close to north coast of Netherlands. These are called Frisian islands. Terschelling is second biggest island, about 30km long and 5km wide.

New work
After several months of quietness I have added three new photographs. They were all taken this spring.It also includes one photo from France.
Summer is not my most productive time of year but as September is approaching I feel a creative surge coming. Stay tuned!

A3 sized prints also available!
Finally after long investigations and testing I can print gallery quality A3 sized prints. From now on, these beautiful prints are also available for purchase as limited edition prints.
My workflow uses carbon pigment inks, which are one of the most archival inks available today to fine art printers.

I am happy to announce that it is now possible to buy prints of most of photographs on this site. A4 sized prints are available for a few weeks already and I already received quite a few reactions. A3 will follow soon. More information you can find

A few days in France
Last month I have spent a few days in France, Brittany. Among other things I also managed to take a few photographs. I do not know yet if they will make it to this site but I am looking forward to work on them later this month.

Guestbook and new work coming
My guest book is live only for a few days and I have already received 8 messages. I appreciate all people who take time to leave a message.
Last month I spent a couple of days photographing in Flevoland, Netherlands. For those of you who do not know, it is a province of Netherlands that is situated on reclaimed land. It has been dry only for the last 50 years. Now I need to find time in my schedule to edit pictures. Hopefully they will come online next month. So, do not forget to come back to check them out!

Welcome to Giedrius Varnas Photographs!
This site exists for a few years already but today I am proud to present a newly redesigned version of the site with a neater and fresher design, easier navigation and a possibility to browse photographs by several criteria. All photos can be browsed by album, location or year. I wish you many pleasant moments while browsing my photographs and hope to see you coming back soon to find new works. This site is constantly updated with new photos.
